I know the pain and struggle of having our words fall short or being lost for words or being tongue tied. I know from the struggles of clients who first try visualisation, that the vivid imagination that I might take for granted can be cultivated in others and isn’t necessarily natural or easy to access. I know that diving into pain points and being able to trust that it is creating healing and not hurt is a great privilege. In all my years teaching creative writing in the school system, one of my biggest frustrations were that students with the most compelling stories were not even willing to utter a morsel of their truth. Because it is scary. But truth can be constructed and writing can be more than therapeutic. It can be transformational.

In this course, I will be guiding you through a series of powerful writing exercises, designed to not only make you a powerful writer, but somebody who has breakthroughs on the regular. The conception of its creation…

I began this course as a blank Word doc entitled ‘Most Beautiful Writing Course in the World’. It stayed open and blank for a few days as I attended to some other work, and I couldn’t bring myself to close the tab. It has been my biggest calling for a long while and at times I’ve thought that my whole life was leading up to this.

When I was only 5, with short curly hair and small enough to sit at the front row of any school picture, I was writing diary entries at school. I found one, perhaps my first, that read; ‘Today I am sad because my heart is telling me that…’. Talk about a sensitive, in-touch child. There was something so intuitive then. I wanted to connect with my heart and somehow I thought that framing my thoughts ‘heart-first’ was the way to go.

I’ve transferred the love and tenderness I feel towards that little girl into how I feel about you, someone who needs this course right now.
